Disappointment

The crowd was full of drunk and high teenagers and rude bros trying to rush the front. The heat and sweat didn't bother as much as the people moving the crowd around. Although Aoki can hype up a crowd and make it fun, his song selection is basic. He has a better song selection but he chooses to play music for the mainstream crowd. He was amazing at ETD POP 2010 at the cow palace. The only thing that got me to go was that waka was opening it showed some sort of variation most shows don't have anymore. I've seen him plenty of times but this time it was the worst. Security should've stopped people from entering the floor once it to too full.

a mediocre show with great friends

Steve Aoki was a bucket list DJ for me and my friends and after seeing him for the first time, we were able to cross him off our list. Sadly, Aoki is just that, a name on a list. Being a household name and popular in the EDM scene, Aoki dishes up the usual pop DJ format, 30 to 45 seconds of music followed by talking, crowd interaction and melodic slow downs. Aoki did drop some bangers but as soon as they pull you in, they stop shortly after, never really letting you sink into his set. The visuals were somewhat cool but mostly consist of images of the DJ himself which gets a bit self centr
